Physicians
Michael Tedford, M.D.
received his Bachelors Degree from the University of
California, San Diego and attended medical school at the
University of Cincinnati. Dr. Tedford completed residency
training at the University of Minnesota. He enjoys the full
spectrum of ear, nose and throat practice with particular
interest and expertise in sinus disease and surgery. Dr.
Tedford was awarded the Bruce Linderholm Award by the Abbott
Northwestern Hospital medical staff for leadership in
the hospital and community.
Physician and nursing colleagues
have named him as a “best doctor” in Minneapolis
Saint Paul Magazine from 1992 to the present. He is an
adjunct faculty member at the University of Saint Thomas
Opus College of Business in Minneapolis.
Geoffrey Getnick, M.D. is
board certified in otolaryngology. He received his
Bachelors Degree from Princeton University, attended medical
school at Case Western University, and completed residency
training at Northwestern University. In addition to
expertise in all aspects of ear, nose and throat medicine
and surgery, Dr. Getnick has a special interest in surgical
treatment of the thyroid.
Nurse Practitioners
Clay Ansley, CNP is a Nurse Practitioner who joined
our team of providers in 2002 after receiving his Masters
degree in nursing from Vanderbilt University in Nashville,
TN. He received his undergraduate degree from Belmont
College, also in Nashville, TN. Clay sees patients with
both Dr. Getnick and Dr. Tedford, but also sees his own
patients daily.
Laurie Walsh, CNP joined our
team as a Nurse Practitioner in 2000. She received her Bachelors
Degree in Nursing from Indiana University and her Masters Degree in
Nursing from the College of St. Catherine. She works closely with
the physicians to provide quality care for our patients.
Audiology
Jon Schee, MS, CCC-A
is a licensed audiologist and has been involved in clinical
audiology for over 25 years. He received his Bachelor’s degree from
the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Masters degree from the
University of Wisconsin-River Falls. He also holds ASHA
certification in Audiology and is a member of the American Academy
of Audiology. While enjoying general adult and pediatric
diagnostics he also likes working with modern digital hearing aid
technology for his patients. He has a special interest in hearing
conservation for musicians and the general public.
Triage Nurse
Amber
Wise, LPN
received her LPN training at Dakota County Technical
College. She performs patient education, telephone
triage, and provides other clinical support to ensure the
highest quality of patient care at our office.
Clinic Assistants
Laurie Beall
and Amy Santella, RN are assistants to the
practitioners. Laurie is a graduate of St. Olaf
College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and has been
with us since 2002. Amy received her Nursing degree from
Normandale Community College, and has been with us since
2004. They work closely with Dr. Tedford, Dr. Getnick,
and our nurse practitioners to assist with medical histories
and physical examinations, completing physician dictations,
patient teaching, and other healthcare related duties.
Medical
Assistants/Scribes
Dorie
Abrahamson, Emily Carlsen
and Jennifer Koeppl, LPN help our clinic run smoothly
by scribing and completing physician dictations, patient
teaching, and other healthcare related duties. Dorie
joined our group in July 2010 after holding the same
position at St. Cloud Ear Nose and Throat for 2 years.
Emily graduated in 2009 from the University of
Minnesota-Duluth with a Bachelors of Applied Science degree
andhas been with us since August 2010. Jennifer
received her LPN (licensed practical nurse) from Hennepin
Technical College in 2007, and has been with us since
October 2008.
Administrative/Business Office
Lynn Clark
is our Clinic Administrator. She has over 25 years of
experience in clinic administration and keeps all aspects of
the clinic running smoothly. Please speak with her if
you have any concerns about your experience with us.
Ruth Winterer
is our Patient Accounts Specialist. She works with
patients and insurance companies to ensure claims are processed
correctly.
Ruth can help
patients set up payment plans or answer any questions about our
billing process or a particular billing issue. She handles all
of our IT programming for our electronic medical record.
Receptionists
Marissa Mason
and Iylene Raihill are the friendly voices you hear
on the phone scheduling clinic appointments, surgeries, and
other diagnostic procedures. They are an integral part
in making sure you have a positive experience in our clinic.
